Andrea Payne

PLMHP, PCMSW

During my time in the military, I came to realize how underserved our Veteran population is when it comes to mental health. The desire to change access to mental health services led me to studying various forms of diagnoses and therapies. I graduated with my BS in Psychology from Penn State University in 2022. I graduate from the University of Denver in 2024 with a Master of Social Work concentrating on mental health and trauma.

Through graduate school, I interned as a counselor for federally incarcerated individuals reintegrating back into society after their prison sentence. Having a military background and the justice system has provided me with a plethora of experience working with people from diverse backgrounds. My ideal population would be those looking to reclaim their narrative and find peace. Life can be complex, and no one should have to navigate alone.

I have deep empathy and commitment to understanding the human experience, particularly the profound impact of trauma. I recognize that trauma can fracture lives and relationships but that it also brings potential and growth.
