Linda Whalen

Hi, I’m Linda Whalen. I became a counselor due to a deep compassion and empathy for others.

My main focus is to help people navigate through life’s challenges.
I have a Master’s Degree in Counseling from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. My
past experience includes several years as an educator and school counselor working
with youth and their families. I work with individuals age seven through all stages of
adulthood, who face challenges including anxiety, depression, expression of emotions,
stress management, setting personal goals, life transitions, relationship building, peer
conflict, bullying, family life changes such as the effects of conflict, loss and divorce,
enhancing self-esteem, and issues that arise concerning school or work.

In my practice, I utilize a person-centered approach where you will feel heard, validated,
and respected throughout the therapeutic process. I support you by using therapeutic
practices to help with insight building, developing coping strategies, and feel more
prepared managing with life’s challenges.
