PLMHP
Prissila Burgos is a bilingual Mental Health Therapist with a strong background in psychology and counseling and a passion for working with children, adolescents, and young adults. Originally licensed as a psychologist in Mexico, she has built much of her professional career in Omaha, Nebraska, providing mental health services in school-based, outpatient, and inpatient settings.
Prissila has extensive experience supporting children and adolescents experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, behavioral and emotional challenges, trauma, family stressors, and difficulties with emotional regulation. She believes strongly in early mental health intervention and the lasting impact that helping children understand their emotions, develop healthy coping skills, and build resilience can have as they grow into adulthood.
Her approach is compassionate, collaborative, and tailored to each client’s age and individual needs. She incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Person-Centered Therapy, trauma-informed care, family-based interventions, and developmentally appropriate play-based techniques when working with children.
Prissila is passionate about creating a safe and supportive environment where children, adolescents, young adults, and their families feel heard, understood, and empowered to grow.
